Responsibilities will include:
• Bank equipment loan management and reporting, curtailment projects and covenant reporting
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• CNH Capital weekly and monthly borrowing base reports, record CNH volume bonuses, review CNH monthly reconciliation
• Monthly BMS financial information transmission and review
• Make weekly AP selections for management review
• Perform monthly close processes and accounting reconciliations in support of the monthly close process.
• Carry out balance sheet account reconciliations
• Maintain company fixed assets in AssetKeeper and record monthly depreciation and amortization
• Enter general ledger journal entries as necessary in support of account reconciliations and accuracy of financial statements
• Mentoring junior accounting staff
• Present ideas to resolve accounting related issues
• Provide financial reporting support to all branches
• Perform retail settlements for Wholegoods (Case Portal)
• Apply warranty credits and report on variances
• Assist in preparation of year-end audit schedules

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required and a CPA is preferred. SUMMARY:
This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for our US and Canadian locations. Individual will ensure accounting records are kept up to date and accurate with an understanding of all functions of our current software, how it ties together to assist in any setup changes, corrections to mapping, and question from other departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close for three companies
• Maintains fixed asset inventory, maintaining pertinent records necessary for compliance
• Supervises, mentor and give direction to 3-5 employees
• Audits departmental accounting data, identifies and corrects errors
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
• Design and document any changes in internal controls necessary
• Prepares month end reconciliations for various ledger accounts
• Calculate and file excise tax returns, sales and use tax returns for various states
• Prepare information for Annual Audit, Bank Audit and Inventory Audits
• Handle all transportation department billings
• Process monthly billings between entities and reconcile accounts between all companies
• Assist in the setup of new hires for items needed such as cell phone, credit cards etc
• Understand all aspects of accounting software to assist VP of Finance with all accounting changes as needed.
• Understands software setup and mapping for error corrections and new functionality
• Various other projects/tasks as assigned by VP of Finance

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• 4-year accounting related degree plus 1-year management experience
• High proficiency working with Excel and formulas
• Strong keyboarding skills, Proficient on 10-key
• Strong windows skills going between screens

Job Description:

Pat Kelly Equipment is currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager Trainee to work alongside our current A/R Manger to learn the position. The A/R Manager-in training will work with the A/R Manager and Office Manager/Controller to learn how to manage the daily operations and strategic objectives of the company's accounts receivable cycle through design, implementation, maintenance and management of all accounts receivable business functions and procedures for the Accounts Receivable collection process. The AR Manager in training will assist with the proper invoicing within standard polices reflective of the customer's requirements. He or she shall work with any and all personnel to help assure timely and accurate invoicing and rating occurs. This position is tailored to advance to the role of accounts receivable manager.

Learned Duties and Responsibilities:

Overseeing customer billing and cash receipts processing
Proper recording and application of cash, management of outstanding invoices and direct interfacing with customers on collection matters.
Support Management by providing timely and accurate payment and account standing information
Assure timely collection of monies due to Pat Kelly Equipment
Monitor and report on deviations from credit standards
Assure timely and accurate invoicing
Manage cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly
Assure that the company's standard template regarding invoice sample is in place for every customer
Conduct credit checks on all customers, establish and manage limits
Make recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures
Weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments

Experience Required:

Minimum 3- 5 years work experience in credit/collections with responsibility for direct customer contact
In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting in accordance with government laws and procedures
Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Managerial skills and experience are a must
Well-developed analytic and problem solving skills
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
