Accounts Receivable Manager

Job Description:

Pat Kelly Equipment is currently looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to work alongside our current A/R Manger prior to retirement to learn and phase into the position. The position-will work with the current A/R Manager and Office Manager/Controller to learn how to manage the daily operations and strategic objectives of the company's accounts receivable cycle through design, implementation, maintenance and management of all accounts receivable business functions and procedures for the Accounts Receivable collection process. The AR Manager will assist with the proper invoicing within standard polices reflective of the customer's requirements. He or she shall work with any and all personnel to help assure timely and accurate invoicing and rating occurs. This position is tailored to advance to the role of accounts receivable manager.

Learned Duties and Responsibilities:

Overseeing customer billing and cash receipts processing
Proper recording and application of cash, management of outstanding invoices and direct interfacing with customers on collection matters.
Support Management by providing timely and accurate payment and account standing information
Assure timely collection of monies due to Pat Kelly Equipment
Monitor and report on deviations from credit standards
Assure timely and accurate invoicing
Manage cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly
Assure that the company's standard template regarding invoice sample is in place for every customer
Conduct credit checks on all customers, establish and manage limits
Make recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures
Weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments

Experience Required:

Minimum 3- 5 years work experience in credit/collections with responsibility for direct customer contact
In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting in accordance with government laws and procedures
Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Managerial skills and experience are a must
Well-developed analytic and problem solving skills
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities at a time
Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
Successful in dealing with customer and company personnel at all levels

Construction Equipment Service Technician:

Pat Kelly Equipment Co. is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated construction equipment service technician with a strong work ethic who will thrive in a small business environment. A service technician is primarily responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of light to heavy construction machinery. A technician will work independently and cohesively with other employees and departments to troubleshoot, repair, and service various types of heavy machinery used in the construction and utility industry. Tasks will differ day to day. Most regularly technicians diagnose defects in heavy duty equipment, observe or monitor objects to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards, install replace or adjust filters, belts or similar objects to maintain equipment, and make skillful, controlled manipulations of small objects to repair equipment. This position requires heavy lifting and standing for extended periods of time. We are looking for an experienced technician with heavy equipment knowledge specifically skilled in the fields of hydraulics, electronics, and diesel engine repair.

Skill Requirements:

Attention to Detail- Some parts need to be in the exact right place, or they will not work. Being able to pay attention to the minute details of heavy equipment repair will be necessary.
Strength:-Heavy is in the name of the job. Some equipment can be extremely heavy and will take a lot of strength to move or manipulate.
Mechanical Skills- will need familiarity with parts and components of complex machinery and engines, as well as the tools to fix them.
Technical Skills- will need to be familiar with electronics and be able to read blueprints, or use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs.
Manual Dexterity-Good hands and great hand-eye coordination help heavy equipment mechanics be successful.
Troubleshooting Skills-will need to be able to look at mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, identify problems, and think about possible solutions
Must be able to remain in a standing position for extended periods of time.
Must be capable of lifting arms above shoulder level to install and remove components as well as bend or stoop repeatedly over time.
Must be capable of manipulating tools in areas of limited spaces.
Must be able to move heavy objects fifty pounds or more long distances.
Embodies a teamwork mentality to work cohesively with other employees
Eagerness to learn from peers and equipment manufacturers
Works safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
Capable of being able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions in the English language.

Education/Training Requirements:

High school diploma/GED
Vocational training/certification
1-3 year of heavy equipment service related experience required
Training will be provided on the job. Certain industry service certifications will be provided when necessary.

Experience Requirements:

A valid Class E commercial driver's license (CDL) or better required.
Expected to perform incidental welding operations on equipment and is required to have some welding knowledge as well as experience in the field.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, learn, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Knows the hazards of his job and is trained in safety precautions of the trade.

Construction Equipment Sales Representative

Now accepting applicants for a highly motivated sales representative to actively pursue accounts throughout the St. Louis bi-state area. This position would require maintaining current accounts and building new relationships under the direction of the sales manager. The Sales Representative is responsible for selling and supporting our full-line of products and services, along with other complementary equipment lines within his/her assigned territory.

Equipment Rental Coordinator

Must be able to service customers in a polite, friendly and professional manner whether in person or on the telephone. Must assist them with reservations, contracts, questions, register transactions and order adjustments. Must be able to process cash and credit card payments, as well as make change and credits.

Responsibilities:

Rents equipment or arranges for provision of service to customer.
Prepares rental forms and contracts, obtains customer signature and other information as required.
Maintains daily contract file.
Computes charges based on rental or service rate.
Explains rental fees and provides information about rented items, such as operation or description.
Collects deposit or payment or records credit charges by maintaining customer charge file daily and balancing daily sales receipts.
Gathers insurance information and qualifies customers
Answers telephone and receives orders by phone or email.
Recommends items to customers that meet their needs.
Reserves items for requested time and maintains rental reservation file.
Updates/calls overdue list daily and alerts supervisor of overdue contracts.
Cleans and prepares equipment for pick-up or delivery.
Checks equipment for damages or required maintenance upon return
Coordinates equipment maintenance with service department
Inventories retail sales merchandise and advises supervisor of low levels of merchandise.
Assists customer with the loading and unloading of equipment when necessary. May also need to demonstrate safety features and operational features of the equipment.
Resolves customer problems.
Report safety violations to supervisor.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store.
Attend department, store and safety meetings.
Works cohesively with all departments to ensure a successful work environment
Perform other duties as requested.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required
Valid Driverâs license required
Familiarity with various types of construction/industrial tools & equipment
Previous equipment rental industry experience preferred
Strong customer service & telephone skills
Solid computer and administrative skills
Successful completion of the DOT Qualification process preferred

Working Conditions:

Must stand for long periods of time. Applicant must be physically able and prepared to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to elements. The job requires constant interaction with the public. May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents.

Parts & Showroom Specialist:

Pat Kelly Equipment is looking for a self-motivated, dynamic individual who will thrive in a small business environment. The Parts & Showroom Specialist will be responsible for assisting with a profitable and successful parts department and showroom. This position will be responsible for completing over-the-counter and phone sales transactions. Other tasks will include maintaining, ordering, and stocking job site tools, supplies, and parts inventory from a variety of vendors. Training on product lines and customer service will be provided.

This position would also assist in shipping/receiving parts and products to our facility, other stores, and customers. This position is responsible for assisting customers with product & equipment research/troubleshooting-specifically when it comes to searching and locating proper parts. This person is also responsible for answering over-the-phone orders, data entry, and assisting the parts manager with other tasks when needed.
