Salem Farm Supply is looking for a Class A CDL truck driver.
Deliver, load, unload agricultural, industrial, and consumer equipment throughout the region. Driver must have a clean driving record and Class A. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and be able to chain/strap to secure loads on trailer and rollbacks for delivery. Driver may also be also asked to collect signatures and payments from customers during equipment deliveries. ​
When there are no deliveries scheduled, you may be called on to unload equipment with a forklift or help in basic equipment setup.

Job Title: Transportation Coordinator
Summary:
Directs and coordinates activities concerned with over the road transportation (includes pick-up and delivery to/from customer locations as well as factory locations). Secondary responsibility includes assisting the Store Manager and the London Service Managers by performing the following duties as assigned.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (but not limited to):
Coordinates activities of transportation resources to maximize customer service and minimize transportation costs. Obtain maximum utilization of transportation resources to ensure customer requirements are met. Also:
Scheduling personnel
Review and approve time cards
Investigation and acquisition of required trucking permits
Utilizes software based �workflow system� to stay informed of required pick-ups and deliveries
Control of operational performance
Costs of operation and maintenance
Operational safety
Compliance with environmental laws and regulations
In/Out Book reconciliation
Lot and Service equipment maintenance
Tracking of service manuals
Machinery take-offs
Note entry of robbed parts
Schedule customer pick-ups, deliveries, AG (local and long haul) sales and service with customer fulfillment in mind
Schedule factory pick-ups
Inventory and return pallets, crates and shipping stands
Monitor work flow and green screens for new/used equipment
Work directly with lot manager for loading and unloading, arranging of equipment on lot.
Answer customer questions related to deliveries, pick-ups and service questions.
Communicate with all parties to make a Team effort
Manages transportation employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include:
Interviewing, hiring and training employees
Planning, assigning and directing work
Appraising performance
Rewarding and disciplining performance
Addressing complaints and resolving problems
Saturday work during peak seasons. Saturday rotation during �off� season
Supervise semi drivers/roll off drivers
Maintaining DOT Driver Logs
Assist service department with the following duties:
Timely submission of warranty claims to manufacturers
Work order opening and closing
Assist in walk-in and telephone service customers
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
Two years of Microsoft Software experience and/or training in Word, SharePoint, Excel and Outlook; Two years of supervisory experience in a service related organization � preferably an organization with mechanical equipment focus.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, distance, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to read and interpret requirements for load size, weight and determine if permits are required.

o Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on turf and C&CE equipment
o Participates in required Service EDUCATE Training programs
o Supports customer clinics
o Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order
o May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers
o Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
o Maintains condition of inventory, tools and equipment
o Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
o Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
o Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
o 3+ years of experience performing service repairs
o Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
o Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
o Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf and C&CE equipment
o Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
o Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
o Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
o High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
o Valid driver's license required; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred
