The Yard Coordinator will support the Sales and Parts departments in the coordination and handling of machines, equipment, and parts as they are received and shipped in and out of the yard and branch inventory. This individual will directly report to the Branch Manager, but will also take direction from the Parts Manager at the branch.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SALES DEPARTMENT/YARD COORDINATOR:
Accurate and timely completion of Equipment Shipping and Receiving Records (EMM's)
Take in/out pictures of equipment/attachments and submit them to appropriate personnel
Must verify the S/N's of equipment and attachments and ensure information is documented accurately
Handle paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Complete damage inspections of all equipment entering yard
Load and unload equipment and attachments in a safe manner
Organize equipment for yard display
Maintain a clean and organized yard
Responsible for operating heavy construction equipment in a safe manner
May perform other duties as assigned by Branch Manager
PARTS DEPARTMENT/WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT:
Respond to customer needs in the procurement, ordering, shipping, and receiving of inventory
Ship and receive parts and/or equipment and record all incoming parts, units, components, and assemblies into inventory
Pull and stage parts for work orders
Stock shelves as needed and organize parts locations balancing inventory control with work efficiencies
Communicate and coordinate with other branches on all transfers of parts and/or equipment
Parts/Service/Sales running as needed
Build knowledge of existing product lines, service standards, and procedures
Take advantage of every available opportunity to increase knowledge through attendance at meetings, seminars, and schools
Maintain close, positive working relationships with service, sales, and administrative departments
Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse
Maintain a high degree of proficiency with regard to parts business and functions performed in order to instill internal and external customer confidence, assurance, and satisfaction with the parts service
Prepare parcels for mailing
Will be operating a forklift in close quarters; loading and unloading parts onto and off trucks
Enter accurate information into our computerized inventory system
Ability to work with minimal supervision will be required
May perform other duties as assigned by Parts Manager
Above average computer comfort level to work with Word, Excel, Access, MS Outlook, Purchase Order systems and Distributor Operating systems
Proficient in writing, reading and math
Requires managing multiple tasks while keeping extremely accurate records and paying close attention to detail.
Organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects
Very detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
Must have a positive mental attitude
Forklift experience required
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with the operation of heavy equipment a plus
This individual must possess the understanding of process flows within an organization.
This individual must be able to communicate with management the tasks at hand, as well as the tasks to be completed to gain feedback necessary to complete the tasks.
This individual must be able to think ahead and keep in close contact with managers so that information can be communicated in a timely manner.
To perform this job successfully, this individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
Requires prolonged standing with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching
Requires ability to push, lift, pull, and/or carry 50 lbs. or more
Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
