o Keep lot neat and orderly
o Move equipment as directed
o Assist all departments when needed

o Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
o Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
o Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
o High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
o Valid driver's license required
o Must have a clean driving record
o Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
o Hardworking and a team player with a great attitude and strong work ethic

Service Writer

Department: Service
Reports to: Service Manager
Supervises: None

Description:
The Washington Tractor Service Department is at the heart of our company. The Service Writer plays a significant role in driving profitability through excellent customer service, technical and operational excellence, and implementing best practices for the various delivery of repairs and maintenance. By partnering closely with the Service Manager, Service Technicians and Customers, the Service Writer ensures customer expectations are met.

Purpose:
Assist the service manager in providing excellent customer service while maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service departments operation within the dealership.
Responsibilities:
Achieve assigned metric standards for performance and profitability.
Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.
Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced.
Keep customer informed of the work order progress.
Maintains the service library with current information (for example, files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.) under the direct supervision of the Service Manager
Maintains Service Department filing and records
Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders.
Maintains accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders.
May prepare Service Technician efficiency reports.
May process warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission and follow-up.
Must be able to work and communicate well with a technician team of 7 or more.
Works in an environment with high volume of phone calls and provides an excellent level of customer service.
Other duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.
1 year of experience as a Service Writer or Clerk in a Service Department preferred.
General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred
Basic knowledge of accounting practices
Intermediate computer skills in desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
Ability to use company computer systems and achieve a basic to intermediate computer functions.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Customer Focused communication style.
Knowledge of office procedures

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Effort: Service Writers frequently sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, crawl and occasionally move equipment. They occasionally lift, handle, and carry parts and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted. Rarely, they move moderately heavy items with assistance or with mechanical devices, including objects weighing up to or over 75 pounds.

Working Conditions: Retail store environment, service and repair shop, and stock room. Exposed to various work surfaces both inside and outside. The work is usually performed inside, but exposure to various environments occur frequently.

Travel
Up to 10% driving or air travel.

Description:
The Washington Tractor Service Technician role is at the heart of our Aftermarket Division. The Service Technician plays a significant role in driving profitability through excellent customer service, technical and operational excellence, and implementing best practices for the various delivery of repairs and maintenance. By partnering closely with the Service Manager, Service Writers and Customers, the Service Technician ensures customer expectations are met.

Summary of Position:
Provide excellent customer service by performing basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment.

Responsibilities:
ââ¬Â¢ Achieve assigned metric standards for performance and profitability.
ââ¬Â¢ Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
ââ¬Â¢ Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
ââ¬Â¢ Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
ââ¬Â¢ Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
ââ¬Â¢ Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
ââ¬Â¢ Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
ââ¬Â¢ Completes all reports, logs and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
ââ¬Â¢ Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
ââ¬Â¢ Valid driver license is required and ensure that driving records remains insurable under corporate auto policy.
ââ¬Â¢ Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
ââ¬Â¢ 1-2 years of experience performing service repairs.
ââ¬Â¢ High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.
ââ¬Â¢ Basic Service Technician certification preferred.
ââ¬Â¢ Ability to use company computer systems and achieve a basic to intermediate computer functions.
ââ¬Â¢ Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
ââ¬Â¢ Proficient oral and written communication skills.
ââ¬Â¢ Customer Focused communication style.
ââ¬Â¢ Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
ââ¬Â¢ Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
ââ¬Â¢ Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
ââ¬Â¢ Fork lift experience preferred.

Occasionally, they move moderately heavy items with assistance or with mechanical devices, including objects weighing up to or over 75 pounds.

Working Conditions: Retail store environment, service and repair shop, and stock room. Exposed to various work surfaces both inside and outside. The work is usually performed inside on concrete surfaces where there is exposure to drafts, noise, and fumes from vehicles. Service Technicians occasionally perform work outside under adverse weather conditions. They are continually exposed to dirt, dust, and grease, and to the potential for burns, chemical irritations, shocks, bruises, cuts, and strains. To reduce dangers and irritations from these conditions, they follow prescribed safety practices and use safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses, and respirators.
