Human Resource Generalist
Assists with the compliance of all personnel policies and procedures. Assists with ensuring the company is compliant with all State and Federal Employment Laws including filing and confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
This position is responsible for providing day to day operational assistance to the human resource manager.
Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
Assists with new hire efforts including providing interview guides to managers, filing paperwork, and ensuring new hires complete required paperwork.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Assists managers with compliance to the organizationâ€™s performance management processes and files necessary documentation.
Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Administers workers compensation processes
Assists in administering employee engagement programs which may include recognition and wellness.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
General knowledge of employment laws, policies and regulations.
Understanding of confidentiality policies and other regulatory policies
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
Associates Degree in Human Resources preferred
Must have a valid driverâ€™s license
Must have a clean driving record
