SUMMARY:
This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for our US and Canadian locations. Individual will ensure accounting records are kept up to date and accurate with an understanding of all functions of our current software, how it ties together to assist in any setup changes, corrections to mapping, and question from other departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
⢠Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close for three companies
⢠Maintains fixed asset inventory, maintaining pertinent records necessary for compliance
⢠Supervises, mentor and give direction to 3-5 employees
⢠Audits departmental accounting data, identifies and corrects errors
⢠Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
⢠Design and document any changes in internal controls necessary
⢠Prepares month end reconciliations for various ledger accounts
⢠Calculate and file excise tax returns, sales and use tax returns for various states
⢠Prepare information for Annual Audit, Bank Audit and Inventory Audits
⢠Handle all transportation department billings
⢠Process monthly billings between entities and reconcile accounts between all companies
⢠Assist in the setup of new hires for items needed such as cell phone, credit cards etc
⢠Understand all aspects of accounting software to assist VP of Finance with all accounting changes as needed.
⢠Understands software setup and mapping for error corrections and new functionality
⢠Various other projects/tasks as assigned by VP of Finance

REQUIRED SKILLS:
⢠4-year accounting related degree plus 1-year management experience
⢠High proficiency working with Excel and formulas
⢠Strong keyboarding skills, Proficient on 10-key
⢠Strong windows skills going between screens

⢠Must have good organizational skills, very detail oriented.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
⢠Workforce Planning and Employment
o Assists in carrying out the companyâs recruiting strategy to include updating/creating job descriptions, posting job openings, attending career fairs, and staying up to date in recruiting trends in the market
o Assist management with recruiting and retention of top quality staff and overseeing the hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, recruiting job applicants, screening and interviewing to fill job openings
o Administers pre-employment tests and processes
o Assists in the management of the companyâs relocation policy for new and existing employees
o Conducts new hire orientation and assists with onboarding to include completion of all mandatory forms
o Processing new hire, transfer, promotion and termination paperwork and ensures proper approval
o Assist managers with termination process to include conducting exit interviews
⢠Safety/Risk Management
o Assist in the development and maintaining of company safety program
o Ensures compliance of DOT files and understand DOT and FMCSA regulations
o Ensures compliance of OSHA logs, manages incident tracking sheets and maintains WCOMP files
⢠Training Coordination
o Consults with managers and supervisors to assess training needs
o Coordinates training registrations and logistics
o Tracks training per employee for the company
⢠Employee Relations
o Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, and communicates various policies, procedures, laws, and standards as needed
o Works with Managers and HR Manager in addressing employee relations issues
o Maintain legal postings at all branch locations
⢠Benefit Management
o Assist in leave benefit administration
o Assist in benefit administration through the online portal
o Monitors employee eligibility for benefit plans and works with employees to enroll in benefits

REQUIRED SKILLS:
⢠Bachelors degree in Human Resources and 2+ years of recent HR experience or equivalent in experience
⢠Must Travel to all branch locations as necessary, must be able to travel into Canada as well
⢠Requires a valid driverâs license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
⢠PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred

The Parts Counterperson uses comprehensive product knowledge, customer, and interpersonal relationship skills to effectively and efficiently satisfy General Equipmentâs customer needs in securing parts. Working with product managers, inventory control and service personnel, this individual builds knowledge by participating in off-site, in-house and self-study product training opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
⢠Primary responsibility will be specializing in incoming calls from customers and Customer Service Support Representative employees working in the field.
⢠Assists in the procurement, filling customer orders, stocking and receiving of construction machinery parts.
⢠Responsible for the completion of parts shipments.
⢠Learns online systems to fill in when Parts Lead/Manager is absent.
⢠Becomes proficient in the various online supplier parts systems to look up and order parts.
⢠Builds knowledge of existing product lines, service standards and procedures.
⢠Acquires parts and other items from vendors in and around the Bismarck area in a safe and professional manner.
⢠Assists in the collection of data necessary for efficient inventory control.
⢠Attends local, regional, and national parts training seminars as requested by company management.
⢠Maintains close, positive working relationships with service and administrative departments.
⢠May perform other duties as directed by Parts and Branch Management.

REQUIRED SKILLS
⢠Experience in parts sales in a retail environment.
⢠Experience in heavy equipment/construction industry preferred.
⢠Computer skills: ability to navigate through many vendor sites and processes.
⢠Basic understanding of computer spreadsheets, databases, and word processing applications.
⢠Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal.
⢠Requires a valid driverâs license.
