o Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
o Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
o Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
o Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
o Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
o Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
o Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties
Experience and/or background:
o Repair and maintenance of heavy equipment required.
o Repair and maintenance of AG equipment preferred.
o Knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical Systems.
o Applicants are expected to supply their own tools.

A large, award winning, multi-store John Deere dealer seeks an energetic and self motivated individual for a Tractor Service Technician opening at their Dwight store location, experience preferred.
The Lead Tractor Service Technician will be expected to:
o Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
o Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
o Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
o Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
o Maintain a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
o Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
o Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
o Account for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties
Preferred candidates will meet each of the following requirements:
o 10+ years of experience performing service repairs
o Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
o EXPERT knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment
o Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
o Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
o Proficient oral and written communication skills
o Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
o Advanced Service Technician/Journeyman certification preferred
o High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
o Valid driver's license is required
