Purpose:
Directs strategy and supports controls of parts operations for the entire organization to maximize return on investment through parts sales growth and the effective management of inventories, staffing and budgets. Supports the recruitment, retention, and effective engagement of department personnel.

Responsibilities:

Works with the Corporate Service Director to develop, maintain and manage the execution of the Aftermarket Strategic Business Plan for the organization
Develops, communicates, enforces, and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction as well as Parts Department efficiencies
Monitors individual and overall Parts Department performance relative to parts sales, inventory management and expense control in line with the organization’s objectives
Develops and implements the Parts Department employee compensation structure
Creates and facilitates the execution of parts advertising, marketing and promotional programs to grow parts sales for the organization as a whole
Creates annual Parts Department goals and budget for the entire organization, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives
Facilitates the organization’s Customer Satisfaction Program to enhance and maintain customer relationships relative to parts support
Manages guidelines for recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for the Parts Department

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

3-5 years experience in managing Parts Department operations
Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group
Excellent understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations
Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
Knowledge of performance metrics and drivers a plus
Associates degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
