SUMMARY: Uses independent judgment to oversee all aspects of sales and customer service at assigned specific branch. Resolves customer issues, referring them to the Sales Manager, when appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

OPERATIONS:
- Use Company provided systems/tools to fully document, track, record, follow-up and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner. Use of the system should contribute directly to the proposal process, winning the sale, volume, territory awareness, participation, and customer satisfaction
- Effectively understand and use manufacturers? programs and resources to attain acceptable market share levels
- Sell whole-goods, parts, and service as a customer solution and build long term relationships within their territory to maximize customer and company profitability
- Develop a keen awareness of the competition and competitive products, as well as business and industry trends.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Processes customer orders and quotes, resolves negotiations and issues
- Monitors fulfillment of rental orders to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Assures the PAR and Star rentals are serviced or replaced quickly in the event of a breakdown or other problem Coordinate and/or conduct field demonstrations as well as operate machinery at customer work site
- Maintain strong knowledge of used equipment values and be able to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
- Work in conjunction with Sales Manager, responsible for follow-up and expediting of whole good orders
- Accountable for timely follow up on each sale to ensure customer satisfaction
- Coordinate and/or communicate with customers and applicable departments to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment as needed


GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Ensures the use of equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, following established safety procedures, using appropriate safeguards, and observing common sense rules of safety in all on the job activities

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar work environment with a proven track record of effective decision-making and excellent people management skills
- Solid understanding of local market conditions
- Knowledge of resale values of particular machinery a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required


COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to respond to basic inquiries and present information effectively to customers, co-workers, and management verbally and in writing

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to apply math concepts to practical situations

REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

SUMMARY: The Shop Mechanic will use independent judgment and mechanical aptitude to work in the shop repairing rental equipment and maintaining rental equipment at assigned Pacific Ag Rentals branch.

The Shop Mechanic will ensure excellent service to both external and internal customers (i.e. - Service Manager, Shop Supervisor, Invoicing Supervisor, etc.) through the timely and accurate repair of equipment, including communicating missing, broken or damaged parts on outgoing or incoming equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)

Operations:
- Physically inspects and fills out equipment inspection forms for equipment returned from rent.
- Expertly identifies, makes required repair parts list and quickly repairs various rental equipment including, but not limited to tractors, agricultural water pumps, large electrical generators, light towers, etc.
- Assist in the maintenance of the shop, warehouse and vehicles. Make deliveries and pick-ups and work in the field service area maintaining equipment at customer locations.
- Ensures that in-house labor and replacement costs are captured and entered via work order system so that proper invoicing can occur.

Customer Service:
- Timely monitors equipment repair in the shop.
- Actively and aggressively looks for missing, broken or damaged equipment to help lower business costs.
- Communicates with supervisor and other mechanics about shop questions or needs in either written or verbal form in a clear, professional and efficient manner.

General Requirements:
- Establishes and maintains effective channels of communications with management, co-workers , vendors and all other business contacts.
- Comfortable and willing to move/use equipment such as, but not limited to, forklifts, large tractors, water trucks, RTVs, etc.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience preferred in a similar work environment with a proven track record of successful repairs, effective decision-making and excellent people skills.
- Class C driver's license not required but a plus.

Computer Skills:
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Language Skills:
Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
Ability to respond to basic inquiries and present information effectively to customers, co-workers, and management verbally and in writing.

Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to apply math concepts to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:
- Good reading skills to consult equipment manuals.
